BELLE ÉPOQUE ROSÉ

Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé is a fascinating cuvée – subtle and delicate, yet also warm and embracing, as if it were wrapping you in silk.

The eye
A shimmering, pastel-toned, salmon-pink with luminous orange highlights.
The nose
Aromas of strawberry and peony with the tartness of kumquat and white currant.
The palate
Notes of pink grapefruit and mandarin combined with the generosity of brioche.
I like to compare Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé to a pale pink ranunculus. I’m thinking not only of the flower’s pastel hue, but also of its multi-layered, ruffled petals, which suggest this cuvée’s surprising combination of richness and delicacy.

The moment

“Like all our vintage cuvées, Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé needs to be enjoyed in a leisurely manner,” says Séverine Frerson. “I would savour it with a meal, in a warm, convivial ambiance that reflects its character.” Ideal pairings include salmon or tuna cooked on one side only, salmon with cranberry sauce, pigeon or thinly sliced duck breast.
